COACHPOST1...who we are?

COACHPOST 1 was founded by a group of dedicated fathers of student athletes and former High School & Collegiate coaches.

We all realized that this was a hard proposition for all us. After conducting hours of research and investigations gathering data that we could use – what sprang out of this was a business that not only helps high school athletes but the college coach as well. COACHPOST 1 has created a database that allows high school athletes to be seen and recruited by Colleges across the nation. COACHPOST 1 offers precise and accurate information on hundreds of pre-screened student athletes looking for college opportunities providing coaches with the information and data they need to evaluate the student athlete. If you are a junior or senior who has not heard from a college coach, it is imperative that you begin taking positive steps towards getting in contact with coaches as soon as possible. In other words, now! I cannot tell you how many high school athletes I have seen personally not move up to the next level because of lack of exposure, not because they were not talented enough. COACHPOST 1 is not a recruiter nor agent/scout and do not wish to work in this capacity…what we are is a stat/bio posting service provider that takes your information and gets it to the people that are looking for it…after that it’s up to them. Hopefully you have what that college is looking for. The COACHPOST1 goal is to increase the opportunities for high school athletes to have a chance to play their selected sport in at the next level. We have set up a system to be as inexpensive as we can and still provide the service. COACHPOST 1 provides accurate and useful information to all levels of the recruiting process and has taken the time to collect that information from you and coaches across the country and developing a common sense effective approach using technology in the recruiting process saving valuable time. We work directly with many high school coaches using their recommendations and evaluations which are important and are part of our service. If you know of anyone who could use a little help please pass the word…that COACHPOST 1 can help and maybe if you are one of the lucky ones play college sports…Keeping the Dream alive !

High School - College Athletic recruiting 2012...Let's get started

Here we go guys...2012 and it's already starting to heat up on the high school athletic recruiting scene. COACHPOST1 is going to make it a little easier figuring your way around the maze. 1000s of high school seniors are waiting for the phone to ring from college coaches...some of those calls will be made, but many highly talented athletes will not get that call. So, what the heck happend? What did I do wrong...the answer is complicated and getting more complicated everyday but one of the most important reasons is "VISIBILITY". There are many ways that you can do right now to raise your visibility among the college coaches and universities that will improve your chances of being offered a college scholarship.
As soon as you read this and if you are reading this obviously you are starting to do something
...DONT WAIT, begin working on you college recruiting.

Approx. 1 out of 25 high school athletes go on to the next level to compete at an NCAA school. Odds are better than some other sports but in general 1 in 50 recieve athletic scholarships. Talent is important, but your talent must come to the attention of coaches. Some things you can do to improve your visibiltiy right away...start making phone calls, visiting schools and meeting coaches. There are many rules that prevent coaches from contacting you except for certain times per year, but you can contact the college coaches if you follow the NCAA rules and guidelines which will give you a head start on the competition. This will be one of the biggest games you will ever play so take it seriously and try to have fun with it as it is fun if you follow the rules. On my COACHPOST1 blog I have links to the NCAA Clearinghouse and NCAA site that will provide you with what you need to know to get started. If you find all of it confusing and want a little extra help that is where the COACHPOST1 service comes into play. For $89 a very small fee COACHPOST1 will provide you with information on college recruiting and what and how to get moving and give you the College Coach High School Athlete Bio-Stat form with information needed by the college and coaches to help them make valid decisions in the recruiting process.

With all that has been in the news lately with Athletes making poor decisions with sports recruiting...Parents should take an active part in your son/daughters recruiting process...you can do this better than anyone. send an email to coachpost1@gmail.com to get started with the service or if you request a little more information.

THE IMPORTANCE OF "SPORTS FITNESS" IN YOUTH AND HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS

COACHPOST1 likes to review the internet for good sports content that is relevant to the youth, high school, college athlete. There is one that I feel COACHPOST1 should call attention to.
1. Sports Fitness Advisor http://www.sport-fitness-advisor.com/
Whether your goal is to become the best athlete you can, or simply lose a few stubborn pounds and feel great about your body...I think you'll like what's inside these sites. The COACHPOST1 Goal is to help you get fit for a sport or for your life and provide you with college sports recruiting information using links, blogs, websites of interest and the COACHPOST1 College recruiting package which is available to student athletes and parents...helping you get your information into the hands of the college coaches.

In order to compete at peak levels, athletes need strength, endurance, speed, agility and other physical characteristics. In order to attain high levels of these attributes, you'll need specific physical training, sometimes performing the same exercises differently, or abandoning certain beneficial workouts at one time of year because they are counterproductive...

Before you start on a training schedule ask yourself these following questions

1. Overview
2. Planning
3. Specificity
4. Adaptation
4. Recovery - which is the most important of them all...
6. Nutrition

NOW WHAT...everyone is telling you how and what you should do about college athletic recruiting...

Today, many families will seek the services of a well-known, established scouting services like COACHPOST1 that has the recruiting knowledge and will ensure that the prospect has all the key recruiting details which should give the prospect his or her best chance to be recruited by a larger number of colleges.

You can do this yourself and get good results and feedback from the colleges you are recruiting to/we found that because of so many recruiting services its kind of become spam type marketing to college coaches, their time is valuable and becoming more important everyday in the recruiting day/night activities.

COACHPOST1 has said this many times but believe it needs to be said again...The High school coach should not be expected to ensure that all his/her qualified players get recruited by colleges. This is not a part of their job and anything they do to help a prospective student-athlete is strictly voluntary. They have a team to coach and their obligation is to that team as a whole and not to select individuals. Parents need to be educated in the recruiting process so that they can become actively involved in ensuring the necessary exposure for their child’s scholarship opportunities.

By doing it yourself ...if you have a good plan and can devote the time and investment necessary do be successful on your own. First, you must be registered with the “Clearinghouse” in order to be eligible to be recruited or to be offered a scholarship.

If you wish to properly promote yourself, you should develop a professional looking resume or profile. COACHPOST1 has one that is in the $89 recruiting information package You will need all your past and current athletic statistics, a recent transcript of your academic history, your coach’s personal evaluation and, most importantly, a professionally developed DVD of your game or skills videos.

If you are going to expose yourself properly, all these things should be provided to every coach that you contact.

The biggest mistake parents and athletes make when they promote themselves for scholarship opportunities is waiting too long to get started. Almost everyone does it. Don't be like everyone else and give your son or daughter half a chance...this may be the biggest game you will ever compete in and you need all the help and motivation you can get...

college recruiting...so where do you start?

where do you start?

If your son or daughter is already a senior, you need to act quickly-very quickly--because time is running out. You're getting a late start-- very late-- but there is still hope if you get going immediately. COACHPOST1 can show you what to do.
If he or she is a junior, you're in the zone, and NOW is the most critical year to get on college coaches' radar. This is the biggest recruiting year, so you better get your son or daughter noticed this year.
How about sophomores? NOW is the ideal time to start the recruiting process. If this is where you're at, you are in the sweet spot. Most families never get ahead by starting during sophomore year. Begin now, so when junior year arrives, you'll have many coaches recruiting your son or daughter already.
And freshmen? What a huge plus to do the process thoroughly and be miles ahead of 99% of other the student-athletes. You're thinking long-range, and you can do some critical things NOW that will pay off for the next three years.

Getting recruited by a college to play football, basketball, baseball and other sports especially by an NCAA-sanctioned school, is one of the biggest honors a high school player can receive. However, there are only a limited amount of scholarships available each year and getting noticed is becoming more and more competitive. To be one of the lucky few to gain a college scholarship ...COACHPOST1 can help.
